Warren County District Attorney Chris Stanford, who was indicted for firing his service weapon during a police chase in DeKalb County in November, has entered a plea of “not guilty,” according to his attorney.
The DeKalb County Grand Jury indicted Stanford in December for reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm into an occupied residence.
The charges stem from a shooting incident that took place Nov. 21 in Smithville. Two suspects wanted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department for a triple homicide were involved in a chase in the city before being apprehended.
