Warren County Man Shot; Girlfriend Charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide

Lucky Knott

On Saturday night at approximately 10:15, Warren County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a location on Paterson Rd. in response to a male who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers found Jesse David Meeks, a 49-year-old white male, inside a camper where he was living with his girlfriend, Angel Patterson, with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Patterson was immediately detained, and aid was rendered to the victim until EMS arrived on the scene.

Investigators arrived on the scene and determined that an altercation had occurred between Patterson and Meeks. The investigation also revealed that after the altercation had ended and after some passing of time, Patterson left the camper, retrieved a handgun from her car, and returned to the camper, where she shot Meeks as he sat on his bed.

Patterson was transported to the Warren County jail, where she was charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide. She is currently held without bond until she appears in court.
