Virginia Ailene Gann, age 93 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on June 13, 1931, to the late John William and Beatrice (Casteel) Gann. Before her retirement, Virginia had worked as a caregiver in the health care industry. In her younger years, she enjoyed a good day of fishing, and most recently going on trips to Tunica. She cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially sharing meals with each other. A feisty, loyal, and loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Virginia will be remembered for her wonderful personality and gift of gab. When she was able, she attended Canvas Community Church. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Holler; siblings, Odessa Gann McDonald, and John Gann; and grandson, Bobby Holler. She is survived by her loving son, Freddy Palmer; grandchildren, Kelsey (Caleb) McCall, Kyle Palmer, K ole Palmer, Lindsey Grimes, Johnna Grimes, Robbie Holler, and Ronnie Holler Jr; great-grandchildren, Asher McCall, Aiden McCall, Abby Grimes, Kameron Grimes, Whitney Sells, Jared Holler, Haiden Holler, Gavin Holler, Stephanie Sons, Marcie Emerett, and Brandon Bates; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 21, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Kyle Palmer, Kole Palmer, Aaron Gann, Gavin Northcutt, Gaston Northcutt, and Freddy Palmer serving as pallbearers.
