On Thursday, the Winchester Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 64 Business near the roundabout. The vehicle matched the description of one used in the theft of a trailer stolen from a business on March 3, 2025.
The driver, Gary Dupree Sr., admitted that the trailer he was towing was stolen but was unsure from where. During the investigation, the Franklin County Sheriff's office seized the trailer Gary was towing and was able to recover the stolen trailer from the business on March 3, 2025.
Gary was arrested for Theft of Property ($2,500 - $10,000). His 1993 GMC Sonoma pickup truck and cell phone were seized because they were used in the commission of a felony.
