931 News has an update we reported on Monday. A fatal accident occurred on Monday afternoon in Franklin County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 1998 Nissan Altima driven by 18 year-old Laila McCrory from Alabama was traveling west on Hwy 64 in Franklin County on Monday afternoon. Around 12:30, a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 60-year-old Timothy Brewer of Huntland, according to the report, failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn left onto Belvidere Road and struck the Nissan.
Brewer died because of the injuries he received, and McCrory was injured, according to the THP. No charges were filed.
