TnAchieves is seeking more volunteer mentors by November 15. Mentors with tnAchieve work with students who ask for support. Each mentor serves a group of 2-3 high school seniors seeking a mentor’s support.
“2024 was a year of strong connections and meaningful outcomes for tnAchieves mentors,” said tnAchieves Senior Director of Mentors Tyler Ford. “Students choosing to work with a mentor benefitted greatly from the local nudges and encouragement that a mentor provides, completing key TN Promise requirements at a rate 20 percentage points higher than their peers. Local support makes an impact!”
The program explains that mentors can support students in breaking family cycles, reversing negative enrollment trends, and preparing tomorrow’s workforce.
Mentors get the unique opportunity to invest in the community.
As of Wednesday, Franklin County needs 5 more mentors. Other areas in need are Coffee County 11, Lincoln County 8, and Bedford County needs 4 additional mentors.
