Terry Wayne Stephens, age 59, of Alto, passed away on March 5, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 27, 1965, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late Frances and Jean (Sims) Stephens. Terry proudly served his community through his work with the county highway department for twenty-five years, where he was known for his tireless commitment to maintaining safe roads and his unwavering support. Beyond his professional life, Terry was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother known for his warmth, humor, and generosity. He shared countless stories of the open road and cherished his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Gage Stephens; sister, Libby Gilliam. niece, Tabitha Frame. He is survived by his loving children, Travis (Maria) Stephens of Decherd, Dalton (Anthony Marlow) Stephens of Anderson, Indiana, Elijah Stephens, and Wyatt Stephens both of Monteagle; siblings, Larry (Clara) Stephens of Sewanee, J.D Stephens of Decherd, Danny Stephens of Tullahoma, Suzanne McClure of Decherd, Tina Stephens of Decherd, Darlene (Ricky) Frame of Cowan, and Faye Sims of Winchester; grandchildren, Carson Stephens, Jayden Pickett, Leah Pickett; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Winchester Livery at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
