Sharon Nancy Hoskins Heckel, age 70 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems – Winchester. Sharon was born on March 9, 1954, in Wayne County, Michigan, to the late Carl Kenneth and Nannie Mae (Meeks) Hoskins. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and nana. Sharon enjoyed working in the garden and watching Hallmark movies. But most of all, she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren. Sharon was baptized as a young child and her walk with Christ she shared with all. She raised her children to have the same love for Christ that she had, and her two sons are now ministers and sharing his word like she had many times before. She currently attended Grace Fellowship Church when she was able. Sharon will be remembered as a devout woman of faith, steadfast love for her family and a mom to many others in the community. In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Hoskins. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-one years, Mark Heckel; children, Jeff (Dawn) Kukuk, Jessica Heckel, and Grant (Nicole) Heckel; grandchildren, Zachary Kukuk, Brianna, Shana and Noah Wilkinson, and Adeline Heckel; nephew, Keith (Sari) Hoskins; and niece, Barbara Hoskins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 11:00am – 2:00pm with funeral service following at 2:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
