The Dairy Farmers of America announced that Purity Dairy will cease production of ice cream products. This decision follows careful consideration.
Purity Dairy ice cream products, previously manufactured at Purity Dairy’s facility in Athens, Tennessee, will be replaced by increased production of Mayfield Dairy ice cream products.
This change will not affect the overall Purity Dairy brand or the Nashville manufacturing facility where fluid milk is produced.
All Purity Dairy ice cream products will be removed from retail store shelves during the first quarter of 2025 and replaced with Mayfield Dairy ice cream products. According to the Dairy Farmers of America, this discontinuation will not affect jobs.
