It was a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat matchup Friday night as the Franklin County Rebels took on Giles County, in a game that came down to the wire.
Brandon Walker came out strong for the Rebels, scoring six points early, with a quick steal and fast-break layup that had the crowd roaring. Tyson Kennerly added 11 points, including a series of sharp jumpers and a key three-pointer to keep Franklin County in the game.
Jayden Cisco contributed nine points, including a clutch basket in the paint that brought the Rebels within three in the final moments. But the Eagles, with their fast pace and tenacious defense, continued to chip away at the lead.
In the end, despite a late surge, the Rebels couldn’t overcome Giles County's balanced attack and solid defense. Giles County held on to win 35-26.
