Rosalie Marie Malec Collins passed from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her residence in Manchester, Tennessee surrounded by her loving family at the age of 86 years. A native of Chicago, Illinois, she is the daughter of the late John and Amelia Malec. Along with her parents, she was preceded by her husband and the father of her children, James Virgil Sanders Sr. in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Jim Collins in 2000, and two sisters, Sophie Sepulveda and Harriett Malec.
Per her wishes, Rosalie will be cremated, and no services are being planned at this time.
Roslaie was a high school graduate and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in medical transcription. She worked as a transcriptionist for many years at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She loved to crochet and do needle point. She had a very caring and generous heart. Often, she would take her crochet and needle point creations and donate them to the Veteran’s Home. She loved the beach and especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her and there is a place now void in their lives that no one will ever be able to fill.
Survivors include her children, Steve (Patty) Hack of Illinois, Joe (Kim) Hack of Arizonia, James (Jennifer) Sanders Jr. of Manchester, Tennessee, Andrea (Jim) Duke of Manchester, Tennessee, Jackie Sanders of Manchester, Tennessee, brother, John Malec Jr. of Colorado, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
