Gwyn was a high school graduate and a longtime member of Oaklawn Baptist Church in Winchester, Tennessee. She began her employment in high school with First National Bank of Franklin County in Decherd. This was a way for her to keep busy and earn a little extra money before starting college. Gwyn’s plans changed when she fell in love with Paul Holland and needless to say, she fell in love with the banking business too. Later on when Gwyn’s branch became a part of US Bank, she stayed on and learned a lot. Before retiring, she went to part time and then eventually went on to retirement. She hated to leave the job and people she had grown to love so much. Before her retirement, Gwyn had the privilege to stand on the stage at the New York Stock Exchange and ring the closing bell. This was quite an honor for a young girl who started at the bank while in high school. Who knew that her banking career would lead her to such an opportunity. Gwyn also loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Her survivors include two sons whom she loved deeply, Vic Holland of Estill Springs, Tennessee and Jim and his wife Terrie Jo Holland of Winchester, Tennessee, grandchildren, Vanessa, Christopher and Matthew, and great grandchildren, Cane. Greenlee, Nova, Hayes and Emma.
