Obituary for Barbara Joan Felts

Barbara Joan Felts of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her residence in Tullahoma at the age of 78 years. A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Fred Albert and Mary Caskey Casity. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Felts, and one sister, Denise Miech.

Her children are preparing a beautiful Celebration of Life service in their mother’s honor at King’s Cross Church located at 222 Turkey Creek Road Tullahoma (In the concourse area off the Main Entrance) on Friday - February 21st. Visitation Hours will be from 12:00pm until 2:00pm and services will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Please come join our family as we celebrate a wonderful Mom, Grandmom and Great- grandmom who was loved and cherished by so many.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to the Tullahoma Animal Shelter locate at 942 Maplewood Avenue in Tullahoma.

Barbara was a devoted wife to her husband, Ed. And was the most wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother ever. She was a watercolor artist and enjoyed hand painting glassware. She was at one time the Director of The Fine Arts Center. Barbara was a registered nurse and worked at Harton Hospital for 30 years and also worked as a nurse for Hospice after her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and her animals - dogs, Wee Wee and Curly, cats, Hootie and Gizzy. She loved vacationing, especially at the beach and was a real socialite. She loved going places, seeing new things and meeting new people. Barbara was very involved in her church and loved her Sunday School Class ladies, The Owls.

Survivors include her children, Nick Periut of Knoxville, Tennessee, Linda (Jeffrey) Johnson of Belvidere, Tennessee, Lisa (Shane) Morgan of Palmetto, Florida. seven grandchildren: Jaclyn Salgado, Garrett (Grace) Barr, Houston Hagaman, Ryan (Emy) Hagaman, Cole Morgan, Cora Periut, Jack Periut, and five great grandchildren, Emberleigh, Dexter, Josefina, Ethan and Paulina Barbara.
