Elaine Marie Volcke Wilson, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at The Waters of Winchester at the age of 87. No services are scheduled.
A native of Moline, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Marie Van Nieuwenhuyse Volcke. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline, IL. Mrs. Wilson loved playing scrabble with anyone who would play and was described as the “Scrabble Queen”. She was an avid reader and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Agnes Volcke Rigsby and Jeany Volcke Verheecke.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughters, Jean Mooney (William) of Belvidere, Donna Wilson (Dave) of Davenport, Iowa, Sherry Anderson (Terry) of Peyton, Colorado and Lynne Rouse (David) of Davenport, Iowa and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
