The Nashville Predators are gearing up for their first game of the NHL season, but they will be missing their starting goaltender, Juuse Saros, who is sidelined with a lower body injury. The Predators are set to face off against the Dallas Stars on Thursday at home.

Scott Wedgewood is expected to step in for Saros as the starting goalie for the game. Head Coach Andrew Brunette is still evaluating his options but is likely to confirm Wedgewood as the starter. In case Saros is unable to play, Matt Murray will be ready to serve as the backup.

Wedgewood, who recently signed a two-year deal with the Predators to support Saros, expressed his excitement about getting the opportunity to start in his first home opener in his career. Despite the challenge of facing his former teammates from the Stars, Wedgewood is prepared to give his best performance in the game.

Finalized Lineup

The Predators have finalized their lineup for the game, with Scott Wedgewood leading the team in goal. Fans are eager to see how Wedgewood will perform in his debut home opener with the Predators.
