November 30, 1935 - March 8, 2025

Mary Maxine Haley, age 89 of Estill Springs, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her residence. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Decherd on November 30, 1935, to the late Charles Benjamin and Mary Edith (Partin) Smith. Before her retirement, Maxine had been employed at Decherd Franklin Apparel and at Taylors Leather Wear as a sewing machine operator. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers, fishing, and a good game of Rook. A devoted Christian, she was a member of New Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Troy Haley; and siblings, Parker Smith, Boyd Smith, Gene Smith, Elaine Scott, and Diane Parks. Maxine is survived by her loving children, Kathy (Doug) Roberts, Terri (Larry) Limbaugh, and Jason Haley; grandchildren, Chrystal, Misty, Brandy, Brad, Derek, Rusty, Colby, Corbin, Paige, and Trenton; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Webber and Nancy (Jeff) Frye; brothers, Fred Smith and Jimmy (Robbie) Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Byron Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at New Center Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with Keegan Nelson, Trenton Haley, Brad Davis, Benjie Smith, Larry Limbaugh, and Jeff Scott serving as pallbearers.
