Linda Kay Coker, age 68 of Decherd, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Ascension St. Thomas West Medical Center in Nashville. A native of Franklin County, she was born on August 24, 1956, to the late D.M. and Leona Kay (Elliott) Coker. Before her retirement, Linda had been employed at Shaw for over twenty years. When she was able, she enjoyed going to the beach and shopping, as well as watching westerns and game shows. But most of all, she enjoyed being a mom to her son and nana to her granddaughters. Linda was a member of Paynes Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randall G. Coker. Linda is survived by her loving son, Chris Coker (Michelle Clark); granddaughters, Maria C. Coker, and Kaylee E. Coker; brother, Danny D. Coker; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
