Jack Phipps of Tracy City passed this life on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Sewanee at age 85. A native of Grundy County, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Helen Sloan Phipps.
Mr. Phipps was a farmer and attended the Gum Springs Church in Tracy City. He was a very hard worker and expected everyone to work hard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Shirley Phipps. He is survived by his son, Roger Phipps and his wife, Lisa of Tracy City; brother, Dale Phipps and his wife, Polly of Coalmont; sister, Ruth Adams of Coalmont; grandchildren, Luke Phipps and his wife, Abby of Monteagle, Spencer Phipps Duncan and her husband, Eric of Monteagle and Mandy Stone and her husband, Brad of McMinnville and six great grandchildren, Ethan, Alora, Gretchen, Linkoln, Jack and Indie.
Graveside Memorial Services will be announced at a later time.
