The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC) will vote on an increase in the price of hunting and fishing licenses, as well as boat registration fees, at its final 2024 meeting to be held Thursday and Friday in Memphis (Dec. 5-6) at the Ducks Unlimited National Headquarters. Committee meetings begin Thursday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m., with full Commission proceedings continuing Friday at 9 a.m. (Central time)
All indications are that the measure will pass. If so, the average license cost will increase by 28 percent. The basic hunting and fishing license will increase from $33 to $42. The very popular annual "Sportsman's License " (which covers almost all other necessary licenses) would increase from $165 to $185.
