Franklin County Struggles on the Road, Falls to Lawrence County 60-31

The Franklin County Rebels faced a tough test on the road Tuesday night, falling to Lawrence County 60-31 in a game where the home team controlled the pace from start to finish. Despite strong efforts from key players, the Rebels couldn't overcome Lawrence County’s aggressive defense and efficient scoring.


First Half: Early Struggles Set the Tone

Franklin County got off to a slow start, struggling to find their rhythm offensively as Lawrence County applied pressure on the defensive end. Braden Arnold provided an early spark, scoring key baskets to keep the Rebels in striking distance, but turnovers and missed opportunities allowed Lawrence County to extend their lead. By the end of the first quarter, Franklin County trailed, and the gap only widened as Lawrence County capitalized on fast-break opportunities and second-chance points.


Second Half: Rebels Fight but Can't Close the Gap

Coming out of halftime, Franklin County attempted to claw their way back into the game. Brandon Walker stepped up, hitting several shots to give the Rebels a much-needed boost. Jayden Cisco and Brody Goff also contributed, but Lawrence County’s depth and consistent scoring kept Franklin County from mounting a serious comeback.


Defensively, the Rebels worked to contain Lawrence County’s leading scorers, but their opponents continued to find open looks and convert from the field. The fourth quarter saw Franklin County battling until the final whistle, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.


Key Performances

Braden Arnold led the way for Franklin County with 12 points, showing his ability to score in tough situations.

Brandon Walker followed closely with 10 points, delivering strong offensive contributions throughout the game.

Jayden Cisco (6 points) and Brody Goff (5 points) added to the scoring effort, but the Rebels struggled to find consistency as a team.
