Franklin County Rebelettes Win on Opening Day

On Monday, the Franklin County Rebelettes secured a 6-3 victory over the Marion County Lady Warriors. When they tagged up, Marion County took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. Their lead was extended in the second inning with two additional runs, driven in by Reese Saylors through bases-loaded walks.


Franklin County responded in the bottom of the third inning, capitalizing on a Marion County fielding error and key hits from Alex Hand and Addison Partin. Hand singled to center field, Partin singled to the left side of the infield, and an additional run was scored on a wild pitch, giving the Rebelettes a 5-3 lead.


Dalayna Marshall pitched a complete game for Franklin County, allowing three hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings while striking out six and walking seven. Brynna Thomasson started on the mound for Marion County, giving up five hits and six runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out three, and issuing four walks.


Addison Partin led Franklin County’s offense, driving in two runs and going 2-for-3 from the eighth spot in the lineup. The Rebelettes showcased their aggressive base running with four stolen bases during the game.


The Franklin County Rebelettes will face Sequatchie County at home on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in their next matchup.
