The Franklin County Middle School Rebelettes delivered a commanding performance, securing a decisive 14-4 victory over Whitthorne Middle School. This impressive win showcased the team’s exceptional skill, coordination, and determination.

The Rebelettes established their dominance early, taking a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Hadley Jolley initiated the offensive drive with a well-placed hit off second base, followed by a stolen base and a run. Tess Hill contributed by drawing a walk and scoring shortly thereafter. Briley Apicella made a significant impact with a double, bringing in two RBIs and subsequently crossing home plate herself. Leah Hardison exhibited patience at the plate, earning a walk and rounding the bases to score. Mayah Williams concluded the inning with a crucial RBI, solidifying the Rebelettes’ early advantage.

The team maintained its momentum in the second inning, extending the lead to 5-1. Jolley continued her strong performance with an RBI hit, although an interference call resulted in her being called out at second base. Gracie Watkins demonstrated strategic play by drawing a walk and scoring off Jolley’s RBI, keeping Franklin County firmly in control.

The third inning saw the Rebelettes further extend their lead to 8-1. Addilyn Carter electrified the crowd with a powerful home run over the left field wall. Emily Parton exhibited remarkable speed with two stolen bases, ultimately adding another run to the tally. Williams continued to apply pressure on Whitthorne’s defense, securing a walk and a stolen base.

By the fourth inning, the Rebelettes’ offensive prowess was undeniable, increasing the score to 14-4. Contributions from Jolley, Hill, Apicella, Carter, Hardison, Parton, and Williams underscored the team’s depth and coordination, effectively sealing the outcome of the game.

The game concluded in the fifth inning as Whitthorne was run-ruled, bringing an early end to the contest.
