FCHS Girls' Soccer Team Dominates in Region 4AA Semifinals

In an electrifying match on Tuesday, the Franklin County High School girls' soccer team showcased their prowess by securing a resounding 9-2 victory against the Stone Memorial Lady Panthers. The game, held at the team's home ground, marked their fifth consecutive entry into the regional finals.


Early Lead and Dominant Performance

The team wasted no time in taking the lead, with Laura Buenrostro scoring a goal just three minutes into the game, assisted by Osiris Rodriguez. Cali Banks extended the lead with her 11th goal of the season, followed by Rodriguez and Gracen Baggett contributing to the scoreline before halftime.


Entering the second half with a comfortable lead, the team continued their dominance. Baggett and Rodriguez combined effectively to further widen the gap. Despite some resistance from the Lady Panthers, Franklin County maintained control, with goals from Madi Morris, Riley Howell, Rodriguez, and Buenrostro sealing the victory.

With this impressive win, Franklin County's season record stands at 15-3-1. The girls' soccer team is now preparing to face Livingston Academy in the Region 4AA championship game at home on Thursday at 6 p.m.
