Elsie Chambers McNeely, age 89 of Chapmanville, West Virginia passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born on March 20, 1935, in Logan, West Virginia to the late Lucian and Dicie White Chambers. She worked as a legal assistant for twenty-five years before working for the Federal Government in the Social Security Division, retiring after twenty-seven years. She was a member of Shining Light United Baptist Church of Chapmanville. She sang in the Victory Four Quartet when she was a teenager, which included her husband. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Virlen McNeely; siblings, Roy Chambers, Foster Chambers, Louie Chambers, Naaman Chambers, Edith Ferrell, Mebel McCloud, Edna Maynard, and Christie Stevens. Elsie is survived by her children, Teena (Bruce) Adams of Chillicothe, OH and Scott (Cindy) McNeely of Belvidere, TN; and several nieces, and nephews. Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. Service times will be announced when available.
