

On March 8, 2025, the Franklin County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant in Winchester, TN.
As a result of the search, the following items were seized:
-3.5 ounces of a substance believed to be methamphetamine
-13 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl
-1 gram of a substance believed to be cocaine
-7 grams of mushrooms
-46 grams of a substance believed to be marijuana
-4 guns, one of which was stolen
-$6,475 of U.S. currency
Matthew Blake Williams was arrested due to the search warrant and investigation. He was charged with the following:
-Mfg/Del/ Sell of Schedule I
-Mfg/Del/Sell of Schedule II (Meth)
-Mfg/Del/ Sell of Schedule II (Fentanyl)
-Possession of Schedule I
-Mfg/Del/Sell of Schedule VI
-Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
-Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
-Maintaining a Dwelling for Drug Purposes
-Theft of Property
-Driving on Revoked/Suspended License
Williams is still currently in jail on a $75,000 bond. His court date is April 21, 2025, at 8:00 AM in the Franklin County General Sessions Court.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office requests the public's assistance in investigating a theft at a Blue Creek Rd construction site.
On March 11, 2025, deputies responded to 599 Blue Creek Rd, where unknown suspects broke into a secured substation construction site by cutting through the fence and locks on a storage container.
The suspects stole:
500ft of copper wire
500ft of silver-coated copper wire
Several boxes of brass fittings (not commonly available to the public)
The total estimated value of the stolen items is $7,500. The theft occurred between Wednesday, March 5th, and Monday, March 10th.
