Duck River Electric Membership Corporation is pleased to share a portion of $26,000 in additional funding to support the Project HELP program in four counties that Duck River Electric serves (Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, and Moore). In these communities, the need for assistance from Project HELP outweighs the funds available to help members pay their electric bills, especially during winter.
For thirty years, DREMC’s Project HELP program has assisted many members who face financial hardships and are unable to pay their electric bills. Project HELP is 100% dependent on the generous donations it receives from DREMC members, employees, and others who contribute to it.
Through the Community Care Fund, a matching fund program, TVA and DREMC were able to boost available resources at these organizations based on their current needs.
