With Huntland Alderman Rhett Pearson's resignation, the Board of Mayor and Alderman now has a vacancy.
The Board can appoint an interested, qualified individual to complete Alderman Pearson's term, which expires 31 August 2025.
Qualifications:
The person has to be a current resident inside the Huntland City Limits for at least 2 years and
be a registered voter, not have any debts to the city, and not be a convicted felon.
Any interested party should submit a written statement of interest to City Hall with your name, address, and contact information.
The Board will consider the applicants at a future Board Meeting.
Elections are scheduled for this seat, an additional seat, and for Mayor on August 7, 2025, with terms beginning 1 September 2025.
